While TD Ameritrade has a great selection of trading options and solid tools to help you with trading, it also has some of the highest fees of any of the online trading platforms.
TD Ameritrade’s high fees make it a hard sell when it comes to online trading, despite its variety of trading options.
TD Ameritrade charges $9.99 per stock trade, which is double what OptionsHouse and TradeKing charge for trades. It also charges the same for options base fees, and $0.75 for options per contract. It also charges a whopping $44.99 per broker assisted orders.
