How Does Dosh Work?

Founded in 2016, Dosh is an app that gives you cash back when you use a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit card at selected stores. Dosh works with thousands of retailers, and the app is adding new stores all the time.

You become a member by downloading the Dosh cash back app and creating an account. The sign-up process is simple: All you need is an email address and password. It won’t cost you any money to use Dosh.

Once you download the app and link a credit card to your account, you’re ready. You’ll automatically receive cash back when you use your linked card at an eligible store. Dosh adds the cash you receive back to your Dosh Wallet.

The amount of cash back you will receive depends on the retailer. Dosh’s partner restaurants give up to 10%, while select hotel stays can earn you up to 40%.

Dosh is currently only available in the United States.

What Makes Dosh Stand Out?

Unlike many other reward programs, Dosh has thousands of retailers to choose from, making it one of the easiest ways to generate cash back online. The good thing is that you don’t need to log in to the Dosh app every time you want to buy something from a retailer. Nor do you have to use a Dosh coupon or promo code. Dosh automates the entire cash back process when you purchase from eligible retailers with a linked credit card.

Another thing that makes Dosh different is the generous $5 bonus you receive after adding a linked credit card to your account. This offer is available to everyone, and your $5 bonus will appear in your Dosh Wallet.

There are other ways to make money. You’ll earn a bonus of $5 every time someone uses your referral code to open a Dosh account and link a credit card. (Find your code in your Dosh Wallet.) Sharing your code with friends and family could prove lucrative. If 10 people open an account and link a credit card using your referral code, you will earn $50.

Is Dosh Legitimate?

Dosh is 100% legitimate, with many satisfied customers. The company has an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau. Many online reviews confirm that Dosh is a genuine cash back app that rewards customers who make purchases from selected online retailers.

Common Dosh Reviews

Reviews for Dosh are positive. The app currently has an average user score of 4.7/5 on the App Store and 4.5/5 on Google Play.

One Android user says she made $25 within her first day “and even more now.” When she had an issue with the app after an update, Dosh resolved the problem quickly. Another user says Dosh doesn’t always apply cash back to her account when she makes purchases online, but so far “that has only happened twice.” Another satisfied user says she received her $5 welcome bonus within an hour of linking her credit card and her referral bonus just two days after a friend opened an account.

One iOS user was skeptical about Dosh before downloading the app but happy they did: “I went shopping and purchased clothes at Forever 21, and I had a notification from Dosh about cash back.” Another user says Dosh is “easy to use” and everything is automatic, so you “don’t have to do anything.”

Is Dosh for Me?

Cash back is a brilliant way to save money when making purchases online, and Dosh is one of the easiest ways to do this. This app lets you earn up to 40% cash back when you use a linked card at a selected store. You don’t have to use a promotion code or click on links from within the app. Dosh does all the hard work for you.

There might be better ways to earn cash back online, but Dosh is a genuine app with exceptional usability, excellent customer service, and generous welcome and referral bonuses.
