Most email marketing services offer basic, rock-bottom plans starting at less than $10.00 per month. GetResponse’s cheapest option begins at $15.00 per month, making it one of the priciest in the bunch. However, with GetResponse you’re getting access to one of the best sets of features you’ll find in email marketing services. As an entry-level customer, you’ll receive full access to the company’s software.

If price is a major factor in your decision for an email marketing solution, there are many cheaper options out there. Yet few will offer the features of GetResponse. Although GetResponse doesn’t offer event marketing tools, it is still a great value for any level of business.

How Does GetResponse Work?

GetResponse loaded its system with powerful tools and features to give your email marketing campaign an extra boost in effectiveness. It has the capability to drive your results to where you want them.

The email creator is easy to use and lets you generate beautiful emails optimized for any device. This enables your campaigns to reach people via their smartphones and tablets, in addition to the traditional desktop contact. Smart automation can help convert more leads into active, buying customers.

What Makes GetResponse Stand Out?

Most email marketing services offer autoresponders but GetResponse has some of the best functions available with its autoresponders. It allows you to set either time-based or action-based messages.

GetResponse offers a new version of their autoresponder functionality. They call this feature “Marketing Automation,” and it allows you to create automation workflows by using a simple drag-and-drop builder. You set up your own flowchart that instructs GetResponse on how to respond if a user opens a particular offer or clicks on a specific link. This level of functionality goes beyond what is traditionally offered in autoresponder sets.

Common Reviews of GetResponse

GetResponse is straightforward and easy to use. It performs all the basic imports and creates campaigns that include autoresponders and statistical checks.

The most-often cited area of complaint is with the newsletter editor. It uses a drag-and-drop approach that many describe as “clunky” to use. There have been reports of accidental deletion of content or incorrect placement of content into the wrong part of a newsletter. In general, the idea behind the editor seems to be good; the implementation is a bit disappointing, however.

Is GetResponse for Me?

If you’re looking to save money on a long-term email marketing subscription plan, GetResponse is probably not for you, especially when you consider its no refund policy on annual plans. However, it does offer competitively priced plans for month-to-month email services.

The wide array of features offered by GetResponse allows it to meet the needs of both small and large email marketing campaigns.
